CHRISTMAS MARKET – WINTER WONDERS
Can you feel the Christmas spirit? Christmas lights, Christmas hot chocolate and Christmas waffles all in one.
Brussel’s Christmas Market is one of the most beautiful in Europe (source: Best Christmas Market in Europe) and hosts nearly 250 chalets with enchanting offers on a route of nearly 3 km in the heart of Brussels. This event also offers a number of activities in the center of Brussels: a magnificent Christmas tree and a sound and light show on the Grand-Place, cultural activities, artistic discoveries, a large ice rink and shows of all kinds for young and old.
Starting the 25th of November, you will be able to enjoy everything the city has to offer. New activities are put in place like the Secret Garden as well.
ICE SKATING
You could start with a nice family outing at an Ice-skating ring. You have two options, for the ones who don’t mind the cold a 800m2 ice skating ring will be set up at the Place de la Monnaie a 7 minute walk from Hilton Brussels Grand Place.
Otherwise, you will find Poseidon, the only ice-skating rink in Belgium with a removable roof and has disco Nights to ice skate and dance at the same time.
SPIRIT OF THE NORTH
This holiday season, Spirit of the North is the place to be! Celebrate the most magical time of the year with the whole family in a breathtaking winter wonderland. The best part? It’s located just under the hotel! Visitors to this enchanted winter village will be able to immerse themselves in a world on the edge of reality made up of dioramas – hypnotic trompe-l’oeil scenes – virtual reality rooms, interactive walls and magic mirrors.Young and old alike will also be able to get a good dose of adrenaline on the sledging hill, play with the snow cannon, take a ride in an RV sleigh, visit Santa’s house or warm up with a hot drink or a gourmet snack in the comfort of an igloo bar. FANTASTIC BRUSSELS
Lasting 45 minutes, FANTASTIC BRUSSELS consists of an evolving 360° staging. The public will discover the Brussels of yesterday and today through a show-course combining artists, holograms, lasers, and video-mapping. All this in the heart of the classified rooms of the emblematic Metropole Hotel, which will also tell its own story.
It is a great way to spend some quality time with your family during the festive season.
BRUSSELS BY LIGHT FESTIVAL
Since 2013, the city of Brussels lights up more and more streets each year. This year 160 and 8 new ones. It is a way to support commercial activities in every district in the city that participate in the decision making of each decoration. Beautiful lights are going to take over Brussels and spread a wonderful festive vibe.
You could enjoy the festival by taking a walk around Brussels and embrace the Christmas spirit through beautiful lights and decorations. And of course, don’t forget to taste original Belgium waffles with a nice hot chocolate.

You couldn’t leave Brussels without having a taste of Unique Belgian Beers. Having the full Christmas is also having a drink with friends and family.
No wonder Beer lovers from around the world love this place. You can taste more than 2000 beers from around the globe. Delirium Café holds the Guinness World Record for the most beers offered with 2004, obtained in 2004. Add to that a great decor, thousands of souvenirs on beers and breweries : old advertising plates, trays, glasses, also add jam sessions every Thursday, concerts, … and get ready for a great evening !
